We're having weather just like you, Linda, in Alabama. I don't like the heat!! I'll come help you cook.... I'm a pretty good cook, too, if I do say so myself. LOL We'd have FUN!

I can always use an extra hand!!! Yes, we'd have a blast! You'd fit in with us I'm sure. We are a joking, laughing bunch, unless we're tired then sometimes we get silly. Ha! Never a dull moment around here with us teasing each other! I spilled iced cold tea in my lap at noon. Boy did that give me a shock! Didn't take long to dry in the heat and wind though. Of course I looked like I'd peed myself and got teased for that! All in a day at the funny farm! Ha!!!

I want to move from S.C. to a cooler place, where can we go??! I've put up with this most of my life except for our Chicago Ridge, Ill 11 yr stint when I was young, but I was born in the south. Every year it gets hotter and every year I tolerate it less .I used to stay out in the sun all day at the pool with grandkids, now, I never go out in it at all, it makes me literally ill. Bad for headaches of all kinds too. Great for vegetables and herbs, but not people!
Well I can tell you Susan...we are still waiting for summer to get here LOL...the nights have not passed 45 to 55 degrees and we have been over 75 degrees yet. My poor grandson who is from south Jersey where the norm for this month is lower 90s, wants to go swimming! Although the lifeguards are at the lake, 75 is not swimming weather to me. So if you can not tolerate the heat ...I suppose you may like Central NY. Gardening is difficult here since the growing season is too short for tomatoes and other night shade veggies with out a green house to begin them in.

I do have to say that the winters are tough here....and long. But the summers are really gloriious! green and beautiful...just not swimming weather until maybe July...

I have to constantly push myself to exercise, work, etc. I don't sleep as much as I used to, but it's a constant daily struggle to get up and do something. When I have a good day then I overdo and pay for it the next day. At the end of some days I'm done for and I can hardly wait to go to bed. Sometimes I have to have a nap. And I ache and hurt with the fibromyalgia everyday. I took alot of flack from family and people because they thought it was all in my head and I was lazy. So I'm glad you ladies are supporting your sons and understand what's going on. God bless them.
Shelley, I love the colors of your blanket you're working on, so cheery!
thank you LInda for your prayers! It was really hard to accept Brian's illness at first. It seemed to me that he enjoyed just sleeping during the day and staying awake at night. I just couldn't accept this and still have a hard time with it. He doesn't play games on the internet or is addicted to pornograpy which would be really bad, but he just can't get his sleep turned around with this illness.

    Good morning everyone!
It's 74° this morning at 7:20am. 82% humidity. Suppose to get up to 95° but I'm sure it will go as high as yesterday. In the 100's. First day off cutting wheat went fairly smooth. Will cut this afternoon after church. Had a fuel line leaking on one of the trucks but was able to fix it fairly quickly. And it was so hot the older truck was vapor locking and we think it's fixed. Engines run so hot with the temperatures so high. We cut about 180 acres yesterday.

Here is a picture of one of our daylilies. I took it with the early morning Sun shining on them. Have a great day!

Donna, has your son tried taking Melatonin in the evenings? You can buy it in the vitamins section in the store. It might help to set his internal body "clock" for when it's time to sleep. Just a thought..... My doctor recommended it for me, and it really helped! His doctor can also prescribe something to help him sleep, short term, to get him on a normal schedule.

Another thing that might help him is taking Benedryl before bedtime. My mom used to be an RN in a hospital, and they gave Benedryl to the new moms to help them sleep.

Good morning my friends. It's Monday and my day off work. I'm off every other Monday. I've been working on another baby blanket. It's in bright colors and I love the way it's turning out. It's a round 12 point star pattern. I recently made a large adult blanket using the same pattern, and it turned out HUGE!
