Charlye - what state or country do you live in? I too loved to cross stitch but find now - i need too much concentration to sit and follow charts that intensely. love to incorporate my charts into knitting or crocheting tho.

It is wonderful to meet you. I do the same thing. I have to use a light with a magnifying glass to do cross stitch. So I like to change them to crochet if I can
and I have been watching out for plastic canvas patterns than I can do the same with. I really like to do filet crochet and that is what I try to do with them.
I am working on a rocking horse filet. Still thinking on what color to do around it as it is done in white.

Shirly - yes, they need so much. any sweaters, hats, mitten, scarfs, blankets, anything handmade or machine made is great.
You can go on to their Yahoo site - Friends of Pine Ridge and see all they could use. any help would be fantastic.

SORRY I don't know where Rockport is I am in ROCKFORD, IL
