it is finished. I used 154 square and they are about 6x9. the blanket is perfect for a double bed.

Your afghan is stunning! I like how you have so many colors and added the black lacing. I hope your sister enjoys this and is appreciative of having such a loving sister. Mine wouldn't even use it! LOL

This is gorgeous! You are much braver than I am. I have been crocheting for over 37 yrs & have never made a granny square afghan. I do not have the patience for weaving in all the ends & all the color changing. Slows me down too much. I love the way you have joined these together. It brings so much interest to it that is just not there in the traditional granny afghan. You did a wonderful job.

I love using variegated yarn in afghans. It is a good way to use up my short pieces. Yours is really pretty. I think granny squares go pretty fast ...at least for me they do.XOXOXOXO
