I am still in the trial and error stage myself. I have only been using my own creations. I think if you use someone else's pattern you need to put a reference on a card and attach it. No really sure. You might want to ask Landon as she has a shop on ESTY.

Most of the patterns I use are free online. I read there request and most of the people just don't want you to recopy the pattern and sell it..They usually say that you can sell anything you make with the pattern just don't sell the pattern...If I was to do a craft show I would have something stating where I got the pattern from. And if I bought a pattern then I bought every right to sell anything I make with it.
I have made so many hat know I just do my own things, which is a combination of different patterns together. So they are like my own...
