Yes, twinfaye, besides scarfs, lapgans and socks...oh lets not forget sweaters and dicky hats...nothing much else comes to mind right now. I think it's hard for older boys;

Do you have the pattern that we might get it from you? I think of my son as young but he is 43 and before I got to be 61 I thought that was middle age and now I know that he is a young man. LOL

I got the patterns at Michael's. You know one of those free ones. The pattern is by Patons and is called Willow Basket Throw. It is the basketweave stitch. It wasn't hard at all. It uses front post and backpost double crochet stitches. Boy does it use a lot of yarn though and the end result is very heavy. But the texture of the pattern is lovely. I agree it would be a perfect afghan for a boy or man. Of course it has to be in manly colours. I'm going to use this stitch to make one of my bags. The pattern is nice and sturdy. I'll post a picture .
I was just looking through all my patterns and came across what looks like the same pattern. It's called Basketweave Twists Afghan, from Bernat. I got it through Favecrafts.com.
So there you have it. Two options. Have fun girls.
