Those ribbed places are chains and when you finish the crocheting you pull the chains up through the next chain in a ladder effect. The pattern explains it better than me.

That is very differrent, I really like it. You did a fantastic job on it and to do it in a couple days. It makes me want to quit crocheting, I am still working on my Grandsons scarf I was going to give him for Christmas. And you make that in a couple days.

Oh Janice, please don't feel that way Hon. I have no one here to take care of or even talk to except my girl furbabies so it is easy for me to sit here and crochet and watch tv. Some days Kaye forgets to call me and I talk to not one person at all. You have so much on your shoulders please do not compare my time to yours. You are an angel on earth to take care of that husband of yours. So don't get the wrong idea when you compare our lives. love and hugs
