I am spozing because there isn't the call for this item anymore that they are not made, soon, will be the other items of various crafts, falling by the wayside, what a shame. I will never have to worry about running out of crochet hooks, I must have 4 of every size, from steel to aluminum, but always wonder, will the craft itself stay alive and well.
Good luck in your search, I do not know what something like this looks like, perhaps even a resale shop could help you in this search, and estate sales as well. The younger folk don't want that stuff around for some reason. so they take Mom's stuff and either toss it, or offer at resale places. Maybe Ebay?

Go to the Knitting Paradise site. U will have to join. Put whatever you seek in the "Classifieds" and check back at least every other day. Someone may have what you need for sale.

In my younger days I tried broomstick lace and I used a big knitting needle and a regular crochet hook! They also suggested using a real broomstick!
