I am respected and treated well. My thing is that knitting brings more of a friendly, interested response than crocheting. I have been in a shop here in Knoxville where the ladies sit around, knit and talk. I think that is more than great but, when I showed an interest in and a need for help with a certain design in crochet featured in this same shop, I was totally ignored by the owner and the help, all of whom were in the middle of the knitters. I waited around, tried to get their attention several times and finally, left without a purchase or the information. That is where I base my theory on this issue. I love to watch people knit and admire their work. It is just not my thing because I prefer my craft.

Please create a new thread if you would like to continue the discussion on bias against crocheters.

Closing thread since there are over 100 posts...thanks!
