    Need pattern clarification

Am working on a baby vest and have run into a snag with the following direction:

    Row 5 - Ch1, sc in 11 sc, sc2tog, turn - 12 sc. ( I understand this)

Work for 7 rows (this I don't understand) I am working the shaping of the armhole. If I do Row 5 for 7 rows won't I run out of stitches because I am decreasing in order to start with row 13?

Row - 13 - Ch1, sc in 11 sc, 2 sc in next sc, turn 13 sc. (I understand this)

Am at work so will thank whoever now and later.

    Robyn

Maybe its just sc in each sc across for the next 7 rows? Keeping at 12 sc works for row 13. That's what I'd try, Hope it works out for you.

    Hi there teresah,

Am at work right now but if you want, you could go to Pinterest and type in Robyn Meredith, go to my crochet board, and it is the baby camo vest that I am doing otherwise I can send the picture after work. What ever works best for you.

Wow need to think here. It is a redheart pattern....WR1757...got it off their website.
