I wanted to learn the basket weave, the crocodile stitch, and just recently learned the backwards single crochet and the mattress seam stitches and they all seemed strange to me but once I watched the videos they were not bad at all. I got the hang of it although the crocodile stitch is hard on my hands...probably because of me and not the stitch. LOL

I think it is called a Bullion Stitch in English. Yes, its hard to get the stitches even and not be loose. My most difficult stitch is Hairpin lace. I'm still working on it , haven't had enough practice.

Originally, it was the crocodile stitch until I found the right video that helped me understand the stitch. Now I love it!

I have a problem with any of the stitches that pull on my thumb when working them. I have so much arthritis in it and it hurts. But for the most part I am not crazy about doing a lot of SC as they take so long. But I like most stitches and find if I think of them as learning just one step at a time it helps me. I like the flow of the DC, but I like to mix it up.

    Cool Frog???

    Hi Girls (&Guys),
So many times I read that a project was "frogged". Could someone please explain what that means and why it is referred to as "frog"? Just curious!

It means to rip out stitches - to frog it - rip it, rip it, rip it.

Hi sweet2operal. The term "frog" = Rip it, rip it, rip it out. Like ribbit, ribbit like a frog says.....lol. Just a little crochet humor.
