You know when you go into a rug company and your eyes burn , thats the sizing in the carpet. Sounds like they are putting that in the yarn you have bought. You know that there is Peaches and Cream yarn.

I have just used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby for the first time and was liking it very much until halfway through the project. it stopped pulling smoothly out of the skein and I ended up with a big tangled mess. Am I the only one this happens to?

    Hi all at CT!
I have never crocheted anything for babies, but with the upcoming birth of our 12th grandchild this August, I want to make a baby blanket. The filet "duckie" pattern blanket I want to make calls for Red Heart Super Saver yarn. Is that a soft enough yarn for babies? I don't remember if I've used it or not. I haven't worked with regular yarn in a while, since I do a lot of thread crochet and also use Sugar-n-Cream a lot. I'd appreciate your suggestions.
    Hugs, Jo

I tried something new with after Christmas sales and I love it the Bernat mosaic yarn. It is acrylic but has a totally different texture.

I stick with the basics, Bernat, Red Heart, Patons, etc. Handicrafter is my favourite cotton. They are also the easiest to find in my area. On my first trip to Mary Maxim I bought some of their yarn. Have yet to decide what to make with it.

    Hi WabashWoman!
I notice you are from Canada. I live in Binbrook, Ontario. I am about 40 min. to a Mary Maxim.

    Where are you located?

I always like going to Mary Maxim or looking thru their catalogue.

Red Heart is my favorite. I like it because of the colors - multi and solids. They also have a chart with the solid colors to use with multi-colors. And they now have "pounders." Yea!!!!
