Yes I did line them. Didn't need a sewing machine. I used a pillowcase that I bought at the dollar store. Cut it to size and folded down the top, pressed it and sewed it in by hand at the top. It was quite easy.

Ulrika, these are beautiful. You really do lovely work, I wish my headband was as good. You cameup with a great idea to line your bags. I don't have a sewing machine and never learned to sew, so this is a great way for me. Thanks for sharing.

I was lucky enough to see a crocodile hat and scarf today and they were beautiful. I have never heard of this stitch before. My friend in a nursing home had her therapy nurse bring in in just to show me.
