    Crochet geek has one using gel pencil holders. I think I may try those. Looks like it would give relief for sore hands. Thought you might want to check those out. She even has a video to show what to do.

    She's dynamite for all KINDS of things! Thanx for the pointer: that would definitely be less time consuming (and probably cheaper, too) than making your own handles.

    I thought so too, but probably not as pretty as the clay ones. This would be a case of function over form instead of the famous saying form over function. Crochet Geek does have some awesome stuff on her blog. I just love to visit and see what is there.
