New from Ohio
I haven't been crocheting long (under 2 years). I learned from watching youtube. My first project was a blanket for our queen size bed. Yea.... I don't ease into a craft. My thought was no one would see it so I could learn and practice basic stitches. I just started trying amigurumi. I bought the Star Wars book by Lucy Collin. Yea I'm also a nerd. LOL
I am having problems with a different pattern I saw online. It's translated from Russian, I think. But it's not clicking in my brain. But I guess that should be a separate post.

kl1000 am I correct that you use the thread and teeny tiny hooks to make dollies? That is SKILL! My friend wanted button flowers crocheted. I tried. That is beyond my skill set.
Barbara G thank you

Welcome to the group. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am from Coshocton,Ohio. I do all kinds of crafts. I have crocheted stuffed animals toys, fashion doll clothes, 18 inch doll clothes, dishrags, I made one afghan so far and am working on a thread doily right now. I am disabled and find that crocheting is so relaxing. Where in Ohio are you from?

SnowWhite! I prefer the thread #30 but one lady at Ravelry crochets from #80 and so perfectly!

I am from the Columbus area.
I have crocheted some scarfs and a shawl for Christmas presents. Unfortunately none of my stuffed toys/dolls are completed for me to show. I have to sew the pieces together. Which I'm dreading. I was the kid in home ec who sewed their project to not only their own clothing but also my finger. True story! I know it's not the same thing but I still dread it. LOL

kl1000 I become all thumbs with the thread.
Then again I also added polymer clay to all of my hooks for better grip.
