I tried to teach my grandson when he was 7, he has no patience.

I agree the internet is a great place to find free patterns and things. I really like it because if I am having trouble with a certain stitch, I can look it up and even watch a tutorial.

I know what you mean, I just started on a vest and a friend of mine asked me to make her a baby afghan for her sister, so I guess the vest will go to the side.

It is so hard to see when you are crocheting with solid black.
