    my latest 2 afghans

    my latest 2 afghans-lakota-blankets-003-jpgmy latest 2 afghans-lakota-blankets-001-jpg

made the raspberry and white afghan in the modified cross stitch.

I did the bright afghan as I went along. I had graphed out some patterns to use and incorporated them in my work as I went along. loved making this one as it was a challenge to me.

    hope you all like them.

Those are really nice. Thanks for sharing. Looks like alot of work. Do you keep your creations, give them away, or sell them?

Thanks for your interest. I make many items and send up to SD to the Lakota Sioux Indians on Pine Ridge Rez.
They are thankful for anything I send. so gives me a chance to enjoy the creating and gives them a chance to stay warm.
    win, win situation.

    dear sweet crochet4fun,

thank you again. I feel so sorry for our native americans. many other tribes and nations have casino's which help sustain them but this Sioux nation live on such barren land with very little help other than those of us who try to help. I do what little I can afford and make what I can for them.

    thanks again

Marge -- I'm beyond impressed with the beautiful design you crocheted into the multi-colored afghan. It blows me away and I'm giving you a standing ovation for a craft so well done...an afghan, project of magnitude. Take a bow, dear. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to finish? Did you work on it steadily or put it on the back burner from time to time?

The Afghans are Gorgeous. Native Americans have Beautiful Afghans, very exspensive. I wish I had pattern m Mother made for my Step GF as he was Sioux in Hayward, Wisc. I loved going up there for summer. He cried I know as he pretended to go get smoke as he said, came back with an Indian Neclace for her. Dont know what happened to that, things didnt mean to her as I treasure every & any thing. Hers was Red, Black, white with a design ????? Thanks for sharing

Both are beautiful! The 2nd one looks very challenging, indeed, not sure if I could do that at this point. Great job on them!
