wedding gift
I designed and then crocheted this afghan to be given to a dear friend of my youngest daughter. This took me a week and a half to complete everything(including frogging several and I do mean several rows due to putting the wrong year in the pattern). The photo is taken while standing on a step ladder and the afghan is laying across my dining room table, that is why the ends are not showing too well. The bride will be receiving her gift next week end. I sure hope she likes it when she sees it. ....if she doesn't.... oh well!!! lol

My goodness! How could anyone NOT like that. It is beautiful, intricate and looks like a labor of love!

Wow Wow Wow, absolutely beautiful, if she doesn't like that there is something seriously wrong with her. Great Job.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback. You are definitely helping with my self confidence in giving this to the Bride.
Libertylady64, Filet crochet is not difficult. This one is made with just 2 stitches (chains and double crochets). following a graph one line at a time is easy if you place the pattern inside a clear plastic sleeve and use a strip if that painters tape (the blue paper tape) to keep track of which line you are on. there are binders with a clear sleeve on the outside cover -a pattern can fit inside that while working on the project. I hope you decide to try the filet crochet. -janine
