Thank you all for your compliments and it was so helpful in my feeling comfortable in giving this gift today at the shower..... it was a wonderful reaction that she had when she saw it.
Her eyes filled up with tears, she got up out of her chair and came running to the back of the room (where I was) and wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me the longest tightest sweetest hug. She then continued to cry for a bit and the shower continued. No one else got a reaction to any of their gifts like that at all.... a little on the embarrassing side, but that I can live with. lol
When the shower was over she pulled me aside and teared up again letting me know that that gift far surpassed all of the other gifts she has gotten. I was asked if I took orders, and if I have a web site to sell my work lol-----me...a web site-----lol -janine

What a beautiful ending!!! The fact that you put your heart and soul into a one of a kind handmade afghan for her was definitely appreciated since most people would not do that. Don't be embarrassed, stand tall and proud!!!
