    lapghan pic

Sometime I have a pattern and just don't want to completely follow the pattern that's the case here I had a pattern but didn't follow it to the letter. I think it came out pretty good. This is an lapghan for my mother in law.

The original pattern called for 2 strands and 10 rows per motif. Because this lapghan is going to California I only did one strand and more rows a smaller hook and I also didn't follow the final row of the motif I did my own thing. So is this my own Pattern?lapghan pic-001-jpglapghan pic-002-jpg

Aww, I know, but you can't blame a girl for trying when it is such a striking afghan. One would never know this is your first afghan putting motifs together. Wow!!

That is absolutely gorgeous!!! My mother used to make shawls with that spiral pattern when I was a kid and now she can't remember how the pattern went. She lost her original instructions somewhere and had made so many of them that she felt "sure" she'd remember what she'd done. LOL
