Blanket is ready - Come on Baby!!
We are waiting for the new baby to arrive any day now!! This will be my 7th great-great niece or nephew. The parents didn't want to know what they are having this time (this is #2). The family has been having fun with this one. I say it's a boy. Well, I have a 50-50-chance that I guessed right, If not, I'll have to do some quick crocheting!!
These pictures are the blanket I made for (hopefully) him.

You are brave to go with the blue and I would too if I was guessing. What stitch is that and is it reversible? Please let us know when HE is born.

Thanks Twinfaye. The stitches are rather simple. There is a chain for six across a row, then the next row is a 5 double crochet shell. The first three rows are tricky, but the rest is rote. You never turn, you pick up the next color from the opposite side.
Yes, the blanket is reversible. It is called "Reversible Shell Baby Afghan".
