Vintage Cocoon Jacket
Good Morning Everyone!
This is my first attempt at showing off my work.
I love reading all your posts and wish I had more time to join in.
Way back in 1982 I bought a Woman's Day magazine
with a free crochet pattern for a Cocoon Jacket.
I loved the blocks of color so I made one for myself.
and I absolutely LOVE wearing my cocoon sweater.
It's not too heavy and after several years of washing it's so soft.
I haven't picked up the pattern since then and that's 31 years!
My Mother in law wanted me to crochet a sweater
for her Girlfriend so I decided to make the Cocoon again.
I had to make this one an Extra large and added 2 front pockets.
I hope you like it.

Thank You...
Thank you all for the lovely compliments.
I still have the original copy I made from the Woman's Day magazine
but it's all creased and crumpled.
I'm going to see if my local library might
have a copy in their archives,
if they do I'll copy it here for you.
I pretty much copied the pattern
but added extra rows and colors to increase the size.
I'm adding a couple pictures of my Original 30 yr old Cocoon jacket.
