The shawl look absolutely beautiful! I don't see it as being too heavy it looks perfect to me. Your puppy is the cutest thing on the planet too!

Love the shawl and, of course, Maggie Mae. I would like the corrected pattern so I can make one in lighter yarn or thread for the house and summer. We too rescued one of our pom/chihuahua babies. We lost our oldest baby last March and got a companion for her daughter. Rescue's name is Pooh Bear, long hair chi/pom, and our other is 7 yr old Tigger. Cute match. Love 'em dearly. Anita

@Landon: "Noodle butts"?? Hahaha LOL Ain't it the truth!
@Crocheting4u65: I checked out the Omega Crystal Thread on line, there are so many pretty colors. But gosh, I just wouldn't have the patience to work a large piece in thread. I've done it in the past, used to make doilies 20-30 years ago in my late teens early 20s. I have so many vintage crocheted doilies that I bought on ebay in "lots". They're very inexpensive, so sad really because of the amount of work that went into them. Thanks for the info, I think I'll buy a couple of balls to "accent" my yarn pieces.
Thanks so much everyone for your wonderful comments. Y'all are such a great group with lots of inspiration and encouragement. And my little girl "Mae Mae" thanks you too.

I use it to make my baby dresses it is very versatile I can use anything from a size 9 steel hook to a G hook. If you use cotton thread you would love the feel of this. It doesn't have to be blocked and one ball goes a really long way. If you want you can use a double strand and it is very light weight.
