I am soory you hurt
trigger finger's no fun
especially if you got it
never shooting a gun
I am silly I know it
what else can I say
just know that for
full recovery I pray.
May your pain be gone soon
may it all go away
and back to crocheting in
not too much more than a day
look at all the photos
of items you will do
and before you know it
may your pain be all thru
then you can take
all those pictures,
your hook and some yarn
and crochet enough items
to fill up a barn.
Know that prayers are coming in your direction! -janine

Oooh, I feel for you! I get those pains in my hands below the thumbs, too, and one tried to be a trigger thumb. I refused to let it , and kept putting stuff on, kept it warm, and worked the kinks out. They will stil hurt if I use them too much, or the weather gets me....everywhere. My aunt had a trigger index finger, and back in the 50s when I was akid, they splinted it for months! Then it froze and she could never bend it again..
I hope the shots help....I am due for cortisone in my hips in several days, and right rotator cuff next month. The shots really help a lot, but wear off before the 3 months is over.
Good luck, don't use the joints for 24 hours...and tell them to get better!!!!!Last edited by dotbinmo; 02-10-2013 at 11:23 PM. Reason: typo

Thank you for that wonderful poem. I can relate as my hands will fall asleep and I have a painful right thumb (I am left-handed). I probably should go to the Dr. too. Little bit afraid he tell me something I don't want to hear. When it prevents me from doing my daily crochet, I look at crochet patterns, or read about new stitches. Sorry for down time!

Loved your poem; sorry it was done due to pain. There are a lot of great suggestions here. Here's another thought: why don't you write more poetry, if possible. You seem to have a gift for that, and it's something everyone cannot do. It would be a great way to share your throughts through this time until you're better.

Loved both poems, sorry about your pain, physical and emotional! I am currently on a crochet
sabbatical and am definitely not enjoying it. I crocheted an entire queen sized blanket for my daughter
and son-in-law and cradle purses and doll clothes for my 2 granddaughters in 3 weeks as they moved
15 hours away last weekend. I was able to finish them before they left but have seriously aggravated
my carpal tunnel! Seeing doctor tomorrow, hopefully will not need surgery again, already had one wrist done
and seemed like forever until I could crochet again!
