Hello! I myself don't actually know what DK yarn means but with the help of our friend Google I found out that DK stands for "double knitting". It is said to refer to double fingering-weight yarn. It is also said to be thinner than worsted yarn but thicker than sport weight yarn. For me, I wouldn't really know the difference, lolz. I also don't use a lot of thick yarns because I'm more into cotton yarns since the weather here in my country won't allow me to wear those thick apparel, but cotton does great!
