    You might try DK weight yarn. I think that is the next weight up from baby yarn. Or even a light worsted weight - I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby comes to mind. It's really soft and comes in tons of colors.

    Thank you for the ideas dragondrummer. I will have to see if I have any of those in my stash of yarn. I have one great big tote of yarn and then probably another half a tote full of yarn so I am sure I can find something.
