the christmas stocking and the shoping bag holders are my own pattern. I've made hundreds of the stockings since '73. in all different colors. I made these for each child in my grandchildrens preschool or kindergarden classes, and family. The bag holders are started on a ponytail holder and ended on one. you can do these in a simple double crochet but single crochet is best and make them as long as you want them.

They are all darling! Isn't making your own patterns fun!? I am crocheting very simply but I find I can make up some things on my own.

Love the stocking!! And thanks for the info on the shopping bag holder! I have made several to keep my bags in at Craft Fairs but I keep selling them!! These are easy to make! We love it when people share their work!
