Hello MeToo, This is really pretty. It does not look heavy nice and light for those warmer days. I like your colors choices and you made a lovely piece.

@kl, JM & Spou. Many thanks! I didn't particularly need a cape, but I love beautiful yarns, so when I see them on sale, I buy them, then figure out what to do later.
Yes, "Cotolana" is a light, chainette-type of yarn. Like all perfect yarns, it is discontinued.

I have attended a few outside wedding receptions that ran into the evenings, this would have been perfect.

Thanks.
Yes, a light capelet would be good on such occasions. Also, this short cape functions as a socalled "Wheelchair Shawl". These are shawls that stay on the shoulders but are not long enough to get tangled in wheelchair wheels and they are also good for the bedridden person wanting to sit up and not have a shawl past her waist. Ordinary shawls are not the best for these situations.
Some nursing homes don't allow the residents to have a shawl or capelet with ties at the neck, but the ties are not really necessary, they are just for show.
There are patterns available for "wheelchair" shawls that don't require as much yarn or time to crochet (or knit) as the one I've done.
I'm working on a stay-on-the-shoulders shawl right now, but without that fancy border. I'll try something simpler. Any suggestions for a simple edging?

@Shelley. Thanks for the compliment. Well, it's winter here, so I can't exactly wear it outside right now. It'll have to wait til spring to get a proper workout.
