I finally tackled the Apache tears pattern!
I have admired this pattern for a long time, it is really simple and I did a new color every row. I crocheted over the beginning new color and pulled the last row ending onto the next row as I finished a row so there were not a million threads to finish off. I love how it turned out!!

Hi elproct,
Wow! It looks like it took a long time to make. It's a pretty blanket.

I work on a few things at the same time so I do not remember how long it took, but it is basically single crochet and went quite quickly. I found a way to tie in the row ends by crocheting over it and tugging it snug, clipping it and then straightening to normal position. That saved hours of tying in ends. I love it, too! it is lapghan size.

I too have admired that pattern for a long time, but still haven't tried to make it. You did a fine job! It is so colorful and looks warm!

Just amazing work! I love your blanket and I was indeed wondering how much time you had to spend tying up the ends. You clever dog.
