Wedding Afghan...Bobble stitch
Happy New Year Everyone!
Last August our youngest son got married
so I wanted to crochet them something memorable.
I saw many ideas with bobble stitch patterns,
I was inspired by ideas like this:

Since my son loves the Beatles I decided to take a saying
from the song Blackbird.
All the boxes are separate and were sewn together.
Since I didn't have a pattern I did A LOT of frogging!
Trying to get all the boxes together and stitched up
was the most difficult part.
I made a few mistakes but they'll never know...lol

Hi Mrs. P.,
Very Nice I noticed you did different words than the pattern shows. I like the words. How did you figure out how to do the other letters?

Thanks Jean Marie.
I got my inspiration from the picture only.
I knew how to do bobble stitches so I needed to write it all out on paper first.
I wanted the boxes to look cohesive so I added a bobble border around each piece.
Counting out all the spaces of the words made me frustrated.
I'm a nut about leaving behind mistakes so hence a lot of frogging.
I think the hardest part was assembling and trying to get it all squared.
I don't often crochet afghans but these word ones are great for special occasions.
I love the Beatles saying, it's perfect for a wedding.
