I made it for my husband. My husband saw the alligator on here and wanted me to do an iguana and we found out it cost for a pattern so he said I didn't have to do it but I wanted to try and figure something out. The head and body is the baby cocoon.
For the frilly thing on the back I did a row of fringes.
I think the feet were owl feet but the pattern I was following only had 3 toes and I made 5 toes on each foot.
The legs are like a hat only smaller, sc around on each rnd. in each stitch. There are pipe cleaners in the legs and feet/toes so it will bend.
The flap underneath the chin is as long as I thought and sc in first row and then I decreased sc on every row. I don't think I did a chain stitch before each row.
I found a pattern online for eyes and it said to sc 10 in the magic circle but I only did 4 sc in magic circle and then chain 1 and the 2nd row was 2 sc in each stitch and then changed color without cutting yarn and did a couple of sc rows and changed color again for the eyelid; sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc around and ch 1 and turn and sc, hdc, dc, hdc, and sc so that the top eyelid is longer than the bottom eyelid and so that the eyelid could open and close. The pattern for the eyelid had went up to a triple crochet but I didn't want to do that.
