here is what my chain looks like that i just made. i dont know how to keep them about the same. i know its got to do with my tension but how do i get about the same tension all the time

Hello Husker, i wouldn't worry too much, you seem to be doing fine. so some of it's a little bigger, don't worry about it now. you will get the hang of it, and considering that you are wanting everything perfect now as a beginner, i have no doubt you will get it sooner than you think.
just keep going with what you started and as you continue you will probably see the difference in how it began to how it ends. muscle memory takes over after a while. and it's hard to tell what style of crocheter you are with just a few rows. some people crochet tight while others do it loosely. keep on practicing and you'll get it right.
