Thank you Lynda for your sweet words. Here's the link for the basic pattern from Red Heart but, I modified it somewhat by not adding the leaves and the berries and then I shortened it significantly. I think I read somewhere that the original runner was like 5 feet long which was much too long for the space I was making it for. If this link doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to paste it again.

Thanks for the pattern for your table runner! What length is yours? I agree with you about leaving off the leaves and berries. It is strange that the pattern calls for making it in two halves lengthways.
