Hi again
I just came a cross on Pinterest I think a very nice granny afghan. I like that one because of the color and the squares are bigger. I think it would be great for kids. That pattern is free : http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/60270AD.html

I like that too. I do think that blanket it will go much faster to crochet than other granny's. Because the squares are pretty big and more rounds than one is crochet out of same color. So, would be less pesky tails to deal with.
