I did base it on an Amish quilt that I saw in a book. It was fun/nervewracking to make.

I do nothing but work on my state fair project from around August 1 until it is due (usually early October). This project was so massive I worked on almost nothing else for two months. It ended up being much larger than I expected, but I want to get the proportions right.

You mean you didn't win grand prize for everything? That is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. You have more pieces that you have made for the fair don't you? Seems I remember you showing us more entries for former fairs. Please post pictures of those! If I am wrong then my poor old brain takes the credit! lol
