Thats kinda funny i got it in my herscners or annies attic magazines today. Yes they have it at joanns and michaels, and some walmarts.

I remember buying some stuff just for putting on crocheted or knitted slippers at WalMart, but not sure if they still carry it, check WalMart Online usually they have a lot more than the stores do..

I have always used puffy paint. It has worked for me. It's not too expensive and comes in just about any color you want (if you're looking to match your slippers) and you can use a little or a lot. I joked with my dad that I was going to put "right" and "left" on the bottom of his because he is "getting old". I wrote my youngest daughter's name on hers one time, just about covered the whole bottom when she was learning to walk. It holds up in the laundry pretty well.
