Do you have a picture of the hat? It sounds like a newsboy pattern to me, but then, I don't do much baby stuff if at all, if you are using S/P yarn it would look smart, but don't really know what you are looking for. A picture would be nice to work with.

Now, I don't know how that is listed, but I would call that a newsboy hat. Do not know if I have exact pattern, but the S&P yarn would help am sure. Give me a day or so to snoop thru my stash, will hope for the best.
