Could it be the spider stitch that Nova55 has under main discussions? Thats what it reminded me of when i saw your picture.

There is also a pattern called the zig zag puff stitch. You can see it at http://www.seven-alive.com/zig-zag-p...afghan-pattern. You can get the pattern and instructions on how to make the stitch. It it a very pretty pattern, an looks similar. Hope this is what you are looking for. I know how it feels when you can't find what you want, it just drives me crazy lol.

Maybe it could be the wattle stitch, you can find it on www.oombawkadesign crochet.com, there's a list to go through but she also has a video on how to make it. Hope this helps.
