Pattern needed for Thick and Quick Lion brand

Hello,
I would like to crochet a mermaid cocoon blanket for a new baby. I would like to Use Lion Brand Thick and Quick yarn which is super chunky , but can't seem to find a pattern that I could use. I'm not good enough to adjust patterns to use Worsted or something less thick.
Anyone know of a pattern, or have any suggestions?

I'd appreciate it.

Hello,

I have not found anything for free online. I did find this pattern for a pumpkin coccoon, but you would have to adjust the end of the pattern to make the mermaid tail.

The pattern is for chunky yarn.

Hopefully, others will also have some ideas for you.

Bulky yarn is usually 12 ply where worsted yarn is 10 ply, so they are not too far from the number of plys. I wonder if you could drop down a couple of sizes in your crochet hook for what the pattern is calling for. I personally would find a free pattern and experiment with a free pattern with the yarn you are wanting to use.
