    Simple Vest

    Anyone out there....I printed the Simple Vest from the latest crochet talk newsletter. I am an experienced crocheter, but not good with Japanese/Chinese. The first row after the chain....I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get that first stitch accomplished! The rest I can follow the chart, but without this first stitch I am sunk! Help, ANYONE???!!!
