Hippie fringe bag
I am looking for a pattern that was so popular in the late 1960s early 1970s ...when I was a kid...for a fringe hippie style bag. I suppose the correct word would be purse or pocket book. I don't remember the word "tote" being used back then as a bag. Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? LOL....If so can you point me in the right direction. I am making an amazing poncho and would love to make a matching tote bag to go with it

I did a couple of searches on google and ravelry, found these, not sure if this is what you are looking for but thought it may give you ideas.

I made my Hippie Fringe bag!! When my dad had a stroke in 2011 I spent the summer in NJ at his side in the nursing home. Everyday for 7 weeks from morning until evening when one of my brothers would show up. All those hours I crochet square after square with no intention for them. I sewed them all together and made my hippie fringe bag. I have to take a picture and show you all....
thank you for your imput
