    Here's the pattern exactly......HAT
    Cast on 6 sts.
Row 1 (RS): Kfb in each st across - 12 sts.
    Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12: Purl.
    Row 3: *K1, kfb; rep from * across row - 18 sts.
    Row 5: *K2, kfb; rep from * across row - 24 sts.
    Row 7: *K3, kfb; rep from * across row - 30 sts.
    Row 9: *K4, kfb; rep from * across row - 36 sts.
    Row 11: *K5, kfb; rep from * across row - 42 sts.
    Row 13: *K6, kfb; rep from * across row - 48 sts.
Next Row: *K1, p1; rep from * across row.
Next Row (RS): K the knit sts, p the purl sts.
Rep last 2 rows until piece measures about 18 in. (46 cm) from beginning, end with a WS row.
Note: End with a WS row means the last row you work should be a WS row, the next row you will work is a RS row.
    Shape Lining
    Row 1: *K6, k2tog, rep from * across row - 42 sts.
Row 2 and all WS Rows: Knit.
    Row 3: *K5, k2tog, rep from * across row - 36 sts.
    Row 5: *K4, k2tog, rep from * across row - 30 sts.
    Row 7: *K3, k2tog, rep from * across row - 24 sts.
    Row 9: *K2, k2tog, rep from * across row - 18 sts.
    Row 11: *K1, k2tog, rep from * across row - 12 sts.
    Row 13: *K2tog, rep from * across row - 6 sts.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining sts, pull tightly tog, and fasten off.

    FINISHING
Sew seam. Fold lining to inside of Hat. Sew Hat and lining tog at crown. Weave in ends.

Can you let me know who to convert using this info.

The translation would be for every knit stitch, you work 1 sc.

kfb - 2sc in same st - ie a sc increase
    k2tog - sc decrease
for each each knit and purl st, just use a sc.

Basically you are starting with a small piece, increasing to a wider width and then decreasing back to the original width.

Another way is to try a Tunisian stitch. Tunisian can be very heavy or very lacy..,

Unfortunately this pattern will not work with a tunisian stitch at all and still get the same result.

I wouldn't even try it. IMHO, Crochet and knit drape so differently that garments of one don't translate from one craft to another. I'd just knit the hat or look for a similar pattern in crochet.
