Charted crochet pattern

I have found a pattern for a lovely poncho that is a chart. I have never followed a charted pattern before but it looks pretty self explanatory. It actually looks like it is only two different stitches. Now the problem. The pattern is in Russian. The symbol looks to like like a DC or a HDC. If someone could help me figure this out I would love to give this pattern a try.

Here is the website for the pattern.....after looking at it again it looks like there are 3 stitches. A + sign which I am assuming is a SC. I am just not sure of the sign that looks like a tall t. Thanks for your help.

This stitch which looks like cross is DC and 2 dots are chain 2. Plus is sc yes... Feel free to ask any time

Me again, could you please tell me the size hook it calls for and also the weight of the yarn.

It says hook #2.5 but I do not know sizes... may be 2.5 mm? 2nd model needs mohair and hook #2.5 - does it help? Feel free to ask any time
