Stuck on Bunny Patten: Can someone help please?

I'm making an adorable Amagarumi stuffed bunnyy for my granddaughter and all was going well until I got stuck on one setof instructions...can anyone explain what it means and how to do it...the pattern reads as follows:
Rnd 24: (Sc in next 4 sts, 2c2tog, sc in next 4 sts) 6 times - 54 stitches (this I got without any trouble)
The following instruction is what I cannot understand. I have tried every which way to figure it out. Any help in understanding this would be greatly appreciated. Can't continue until the following instructions make sense:

"Rnds 25-34: Continue as established, decreasing 6 sc evenly spaced in every 5th rnd -42 sts."

Monica, work 4 rnds even next rnds is a dec, work 4 rnd even and next rnd is a dec rnd, should add up to the end 42 sts hope this helps. Sharon

oops your dec rnd is to dec 6 sts evenly spaced ,rnd 29: dec rnd, end with 48 sts , and rnd 34 : dec rnd end with42 sts .

ok I personally think they could have written the pattern better there are 10 row 25 - 34 and they want you to drop to 42 from 54 every 5th row so on row 29 you would drop to 48 stitchs and on row 34 you would drop to 42 stitchs
