    What about making pom poms from scraps and donating them to animal shelters for the kitties? Just a thought.

    I make a big granny afghan. I just keep going when one color runs out I hook another one on and keep going. No sewing or anything

    The ladies at my crochet group save me the small left over balls =since I do a lot of plastic canvas and its a shame
    to open a whole skein for just a little amount I might need
    But seeing the scrap afgans I may just start one for my self !!they are very pretty

    and yes the birds do like the yarn too
    as they say "waste not -want not"--Boy am I dating myself LOL
