Hi there! I use some of the yarn scraps for markers on my projects, most other yarn markers mess the yarn up, I cut to the size I like and use different colors for to mark for instance blue for an important reminder of row 3 or white for another reminder of row or rnd 12 and so forth! I like the Swiffer cover idea for using up yarn scraps. I have already crocheted the cover, adding the extra yarn may make it work better. I also use yarn scraps for stuffing small crochet projects and for plastic canvas work. Plastic canvas yarn is expensive, so anything to save money around here helps.

Some of the longer pieces of yarn that I have could be used to make fringes to put on scarves.

I have been saving the ends that I cut off for the birds I seen an article where you put them in a wire bird feeder in the spring and the bird will take them and use them in their nests the more colors the better. just no fishing wire but yarn and embroidery thread works great.
