I think knitters and crocheters are both awesome. These are both crafts that involve so much skill. Both crafts produce beautiful articles. Yarn stores shouldn't be so snobby. My favourite yarn store caters to crocheters, knitters, corkers, everyone, it's great!

That's wonderful that you have a friendly, equal opportunity yarn store. But really, some of the yarn stores do seem to "look down" on crocheters. It seems like very poor business to do that, because crocheters buy yarn, just like knitters do.

So I do three out of the nine (crochet, cross-stitch, and knit) and am learning a fourth (jewelry). Love it!

I wonder where Macrame is on the list. Does anybody remember Macrame ? I didn't do much but had a lot of friends in the old hippy days who did macrame wall hangings and plant hangers! And belts.I saw a broomstick lace pattern for a bracelet that would make a pretty belt in crochet , can't remember where , maybe here?

I remember macrame... I made the coolest merry-go-round for my oldest son's nursery. Hobby Lobby does have some supplies. not the ceremic beads to dress it up bit the hoops and yarn
