I Need Suggestions for Young Teenager with Cancer
I have a young teenage friend with cancer(13-year old boy). Other than hats, can anyone suggest anything else that I could crochet for him? He's going through chemo and radiation right now and of course is feeling awful. I'm trying to think of something to cheer him up. Yes, I have already made him a ski hat. If anyone has any ideas, please pass them along.

Linda,
Sorry to hear about your friend. Have you thought of crocheting him a scarf to match the hats you have made. I am not sure how the weather is where you are, but I find scarves comforting. Just a thought. Let us know, otherwise we can come up with some more thoughts.

Hi teapot;
I've seen many patterns for "beards" complete with mustaches that I think are funny. I don't know but maybe this would bring a smile?

Cute idea! I've seen those too. I'll Google it and see if I can find an easy pattern.

You could do something with his favorite sports teams logo on it. Maybe an afghan or something.

What about a blanket he could put on his lap during treatments. You know, something that looks contemporary and not so much like a hospital.

So sorry to hear about the young man with cancer. I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. I would suggest a nice brightly colored afghan. Something to pick up his spirits.
