oops.....it's a "HE" .....well, lol.......then I suggest a type of catch all pouch where he might put all his things that he might need to carry around.
or maybe a checker game he can carry around with him to play with whoever.

Linda, sorry to hear about the 13yr old with cancer. You could make him a lapghan that folds up into a pillow. He could take it to the hospital with him to use when he is getting chemo and when he is not using it, it can be folded and tucked into itself to make a throw pillow. You can find all kind all over the internet. Hope this helps.

What about a pillow with his favorite team logo, comic book character, favorite colors or just a miscellaneous fun yarns. Something that's silly and cheerful. Cancer patients receiving chemo are often cold, so anything he could slip on to keep the chill off would be welcome.

Im so sorry to hear about anyone having cancer. When someone is young its so hard to be different. I am so happy to see these older threads updated! Quick question Are the snuggies hard? I down loaded a patteren but it looked so so I don't know hard?
God Bless and good stiches

Billiebob..no...I kept the pattern hide for a long time because I thought heck this looks hard...honestly it wasn't thus I made two. The arms can be tricky; but with yarn sales it's worth it in my opionion....

I love the idea of the blanket that folds into a pillow. Easy to carry w/ him and if he doesn't need the blanket he has the pillow to rest on. Make it in his favorite colors or team colors if he is into sports. I also like the idea of the crocheted checkerboard and the monster who listens but doesn't talk back. Google crocheted games and see if there are others besides checkers. Love what you are doing.
