If I had any kind of creativity, I would try this. But - if I don't have a pattern or design, I don't have a clue.

When I tried the link, it said the site was temporarily down. Does anyone have patterns for dishcloths? What kind of yarn do you prefer to use?

Hello,
I just checked the site and it is working now, at least for me. What kind of design are you interested in creating?
If you are interested in just making some to be donated to shelters, then you would probably like an easy pattern to follow. Here is an easy pattern for dishcloths:

This pattern suggests worset yarn.

Thanks Barb! That is indeed a simple pattern. I have seen yarn in the craft store labelled for dishcloths and it looks like heavy crochet cotton. I just wonder which kind hods up better to daily use. Anyone else use these and have an opinion?

Theresa,
In another forum thread, several people said to definitely use cotton for potholders. I would think the best thing would be cotton for dishclothes, too. Maybe, we can get some feedback from others on this as well.

Thanks SharonO. I will look for that to start with and at least I will know the thickness and such to look for. I plan to make some for gifts and would hate to give gifts that didn't hold up for their intended purpose.

If you go to the Dishcloth Challenge website, it gives you a lot of interesting information about the challenge and also suggests 100% cotton worsted weight yarn. Good luck. Deb
