I revised the directions of how I made the necklace as after I read the directions I had written realized they were awful. I hope these are a little clearer. I have made one for my daughter and all I did was single crochet a chain about a mile long at least it seemed that. It really is as long as you want the number of loops to be in the necklace. I then took 36 inches of the chain and made a loop with it, holding the loose end and the point of the 36 inches. Then make another loop and just kept going around and around til I used all the chain. At that point I took about 3 yards of yarn and wrapped it around and around a 2 inch strip of the chains quite tight to hold the ends in. With the end of the yarn thread a needle and push through the wrapped strip to secure the end. I made a crochet flower and put it on at that point.

I loved you idea. Definitely not odd. Would love to know how to make them. You cut thin strips of t-shirt material to use?
